Cotto knocked out in the 11

Every fighter has flaws, of course. This is true even for fighters like Cotto, undefeated ones (32-0, 26 KO) who are considered among the greatest in the world. Fighters can survive such flaws in many ways, either by overwhelming an opponent to the point that his own flaws don’t come into play or by surviving them by virtue of a solid chin or an ability to mask those weaknesses in some fashion.

It is when your flaws dovetail with an opponent’s strengths that a state of danger is created for the one and opportunity knocks for the other. Such a situation arose when Cotto couldn't stand up to the punishment. He gave up in the 11th packed his bags and headed home. You could it in his face half way through the fight. As the rounds tolled he couldnt take it anymore. I thought he was going to run and squeak out a robbery victory. To my surprise Antonio wasnt letting him have the option and just wouldnt let Miguel breath. Another Mosely like fighter with everything but just step below the best.

You must be wrong about this. Cotto didn't leave and pack his bags. Just before the fight got counted out by the referee, his corner men had saved him from getting counted out of a knockout. They stopped the fight right in the nick of time.

I am for Cotto in the fight and I am saddened to see one of the best pound for pound fighter in the ring get knocked down by an underrated fighter such as Margarito. But I am the more amazed at how Margarito showed his gut in the fight and I believe that he still has a lot to show in his future fights.
