Former reality tv star and world title challenger Peter Manfredo, stopped Shane ’Irish Hitman’ Benfield in the sixth round at the Twin River Events Center in Lincoln, Rhode Island on Friday night(March 14).
A series of attacks to the body from Manfredo eventually forced a stoppage after 2.30 of the sixth round. Manfredo improves to 29-5-(14), Benfield falls to 17-2-(9).
On the undercard three-time female world champion Jaime "The Hurricane" Clampitt successfully defended her IWBF lightweight crown with a majority decision over Belinda Larcuente. The scores were 97-93, 97-93, 95-95.
